Recovery

Things fail. Your platform should respond.

Choose regions and replica counts. Velcio routes to healthy capacity and replaces unhealthy replicas to keep your configured capacity in place. Standard and Pro also support prepared regional recovery where enabled, with no extra replica charge during temporary failover. Pro gets priority; Standard uses remaining capacity.

Recovery path

States recorded during an automatic replacement

Watchdog is ready for an unhealthy replica.

  1. Health check fails

    Watchdog detects an unhealthy replica.

  2. Target leaves routing

Healthy replicas remain eligible for traffic.

  3. Replacement starts

Cloud restores the configured replica count.

  4. Health check passes

The replacement becomes a routing target.

More time for the application.

You shape the product.

Your code, your data, your environment values. You decide what to build and when to release it.

Velcio runs the infrastructure.

Builds, regional microVMs, routing, certificates and recovery. All working together, in one place.

Before you deploy

What happens when a host fails?
Velcio removes replicas on the failed host from routing and starts replacement capacity. The public URL does not change.
What happens when a region fails?
Cloudflare sends traffic to another healthy region you configured. Velcio keeps the unavailable region's desired replica count and restores it when placement is possible.
What if the app becomes unhealthy?
Velcio checks the application's health endpoint. A replica that repeatedly fails its checks is removed from routing and replaced.
What can I deploy?
Connect a GitHub repository. Velcio uses its Dockerfile when one is present, otherwise it attempts a buildpack build. The application must listen on PORT and provide a health endpoint.
How does billing work?
Hosting is billed monthly for each configured replica. The price depends on the selected replica size. See hosting plans.
